Is it just me that checks his account online everyday or every other day or so just to make sure all is OK?
Surely you noticed you were slightly "better off" all this while.
They've not broken any rules but I can understand your predicament.
Negotiate with the bank to remove the charges and pay only what you owe (perhaps in installments)0 -
Not sure if it helps and I don't know what the cap is but on their website it states
We cap the amount of overdraft fees that can be incurred in any statement period. This includes Daily Arranged Overdraft Fees, Daily Unarranged Overdraft Fees, Paid Item Fees and Unpaid Item Fees.
Also I do not understand post 11# you say you did have the money in the account so where did it go?
Nobody will believe you that 62 transactions of £20 went 'unnoticed' - sorry - perhaps you went back to that store because you found or thought you found a way of obtaining goods without paying.0 -

82 transactions for £20 each over 3 months? That's almost one a day and you didn't notice any of them?Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorn is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that she is pink; we logically know that she is invisible because we can't see her."0 -
82 transactions all for exactly £20? I wonder what you and your gf buy almost every day from this shop, always managing to spend £20, no more, no less. Also the total of these transactions is £1640. How can you possibly not notice that you have all this extra money in your accounts over such a prolonged period. Even if you don't check your accounts online, you must receive statements or see your balances when you withdraw cash at an ATM. Plus, if you have spent this £1640, surely you must have realised that you were spending lots of money. Where did you imagine this extra money you were spending was coming from?
Why don't you go and ask the staff in the shop why they have done this. You are after all a very regular customer so they should be able to tell you. Threaten to take away your daily £20 worth of business.0 -
and were your girlfriend's £20 as well. If you had 82 transactions over 3 months, you must know if you went to that shop most days. What type of shop was it? Seems strange to me0

That explains a lot and puts a whole different spin on the story.
Quote from the above link

Now that's customer service!Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorn is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that she is pink; we logically know that she is invisible because we can't see her."0
