Don't use WhiteStrips4u

Just want to warn people about whitestrips4u.co.uk which sell Crest teeth whitening strips. I ordered from their website in January 2012 and the order never arrived. I tried on numerous occasions to contact them by email (they had no other contact details on their website) about my order without success which was very worrying and frustrating . I eventually did get a reply to say "check with the post office".
I checked again with post office, but still nothing, so I asked whitestrips for a refund. WhiteStrips4U agreed to process a refund which would take 2-5 working days. 14 days later and still nothing. I demanded the transaction reference code for the refund they "claimed" to have processed. A few days later, they provide one, but when I checked with my bank - they had no record of it! The bank are now sending me forms to pursue the matter further.
During my frustrations, I searched on the internet about this company and found some disturbing information:
1) No company registration number, VAT number or company registration address on their website. This is a legal requirement for anyone trading on the internet. What have they got to hide I wonder???
2) Contact telephone number is: "Freephone0800 Number Coming Soon!", and probably will be for some time.
3) Online customer service live chat is always "offline"
4) The product they sell is actually illegal in the UK because it exceeds the UK's legislation on hydrogen peroxide (bleaching ingredient) limit.
5) Lots of similar bad experiences. Do a google search on "WhiteStrips4U forum".
In hindsight I should have done my research on whitestrips4u.co.uk before placing my order. I buy from the internet all the time so I guess I got complacent. You are free to make your own mind up about whitestrips4u and the teeth whitening product they sell, but my advice is to save your time, money, stress levels, and stay clear of these amateurs. Points 1,2 and 3 alone should send alarm bells ringing!!!

I had similar problems with WhiteStrips4U.co.uk but I did get a refund after I threatened to take legal action. It was only £40 worth, but the hassle I went to get my money back was a joke. They have now added a telephone number and address to their website, although the address is very vague (no house number)...which when you look on Google street map...its just a residential street so good luck to the postman when trying to find it!0

I complained to Trading Standards about whitestrips4u, and they've now added a company address, telephone number and registration number on their website whitestrips4u.co.uk. Still no sign of my whitestrips order though, but my bank/credit card company has refunded me the full amount. WhiteStrips4u have stopped responding to my emails. Will put this down as a bad experience, but those considering buying from whitestrips4u, just exercise caution.0

Thanks so much for this! I was thinking of ordering from them! Have you ordered any whitestrips at all from other retailers? I would be curious about how you got on with them if you've tried them.0

It is illegal to sell these strips in the UK , the EU and many other places. Therefore if you buy from someone who will supply to the Uk you are buying from someone who has no legitimate way of supplying these strips and is knowingly breaking the law.
You have no guarantee these illegally sourced strips are what they say they are and are trusting people willing to break the law to supply you with chemicals you are going to place in one of the most sensitive parts of the body.
Which , the consumer organisation, has led campaigns to stop eBay , amazon advertising these products because of their illegality and the damage caused to people using them.0
