You think? Look at the consumer laws. In the USA there is nothing like SOGA. Buy it and if it breaks next week then unless the manufacturer provides a warranty its tough luck.

Ok ok no need to be sarcastic..cheer up. Its Friday:beer:

If you were buying the new ipad the siri voice maybe set to understand the american accent and be the girls voice. The mans voice will be the one on the pads for the UK, like it is on the iphones , however you may not use siri much and not be bothered about this.

Siri is not on ipad, it wont be on ipad 3 (screw the new part. it's iPad 3!) iPad 3 will have voice dictation but wont have Siri. Most never come as standard out of the box working. It will learn your voice over time, and this is prolly where siri fails, because it tries to recognise every accent, and as is hilariously proved time and time again, can't do it.
It will be interesting with the voice dictation as to where it's just there it is, use it and hope it works. or if it's going to learn it's owner.

We've had no problems with an american ipad2 and an australian ipod.

In fact the australian ipod broke and they replaced it in the Brent Cross (LOndon) apple shop without any comment other than "I can see you bought this in Oz".
