Gluing upvc to brick

Hi

I have some upvc trim around the sides of an external doorframe but it is starting to come away at the bottom.

I don't think that sealant would work.

Is there something I can use to re-glue the trim to the brickwork?

Thank you.

CP1 or sticks like sh*t (now just called sticks like) either will do the job

*edit sorry guys yes of course it should have been CT1, sticks like you can get from the sheds

    Its CT1 by C-Tek

But any of the premium construction adhesives will do - I'd prefer a solvent based one for external use

Just remember to tape the trim securely for a day to allow the glue to set

Frame sealant is what you need, which will secure the trim and provide a tough waterproof seal along any edges.

The storms have pulled off a piece of upvc trim round my doorway and this thread came up quite high in google in my searches for a solution. The situation is identical to the op's problem: I am looking to bond upvc to brick.
So which is better CT1 or frame sealant? and what is the typical cost?

I've used general sealant to fasten both uPVC and concrete to brick. Couple of quid a tube.
  • we use silicon to stick upvc trims to brick as long as the bricks arnt wet this will work
if you think peoples advice is helpfull please take the time to clicking the thank you button it gives great satisfaction
  • CT1 will stick even if the bricks are wet but it's £10+ a tube or if they are dry as above is a cheaper alternative
