they are supposed to follow Tesco's rule book, ie the dtd etc. and mine has the signs up, but never found anything to try it. But they also charge a little extra for products found in the normal T, ie an extra 30p on fairy when on £1 in normal T, etc.
But depends on manager running it.
Yes I have noticed that, none of the BOGOF or 342 offers etc either and some of the price differences is unreal2014 Swagbucks goal - £50/ £300 - 16/01/2014

Did you manage to keep your reciept, could you re-print it.Might be worth trying again.
Also email head office(address is on coupon page) as thats a well iffy response
Hi FT,
Perhaps TESCO should read their own T&Cs
https://www.tescopricecheck.com/pricecheck/pages/tsandcs.aspx
There is one thing everyone should be aware of
FAIR USE
34 Only one Price Check Voucher may be redeemed per household per day.
Just thought that given the already troutish relationship many experience there's no point allowing them an immediate get-out by "breaking the rules"
It's best that the "firm ground" you're standing on doesn't become a bit boggy during any trout confrontation

Hi everyone,
Ok this could just be a one off a manager making up their own rules but I have just come from a Tesco Express and had an altercation shall we say.
Put my shopping through, handed over a JTD + Receipt & SA says "Sorry we cannot accePt these"
"why" I asked "Because whoever you got it off it is not cocha(!!)
"But I got it from Tesco" I said Supervisor is standing behind SA and says "My manager says we are not to accept these as they are invalid and because it says Tesco on it we have to confiscate it"
"But I got it from Tesco , it is a JTD voucher I got from Tesco because some of the items I bought are dearer than Asda, have Tesco stopped JTD?"
"THey must have erm I don't know. Do you want their CS number?"
"No I want to use my voucher that is mine"
"Sorry you cannot have it back"
So I have left with my shopping - I should have put it back - but I got totally thrown by this. I can't help but think it is a manager taking umbridge to me using vouchers :-/
Any thoughts?
Yes, One thought ...
Whilst I agree they should have taken it, but given their claims
you should have at least kept the receipt (that's your property NOT theirs)
and I'd have definitely left the all shopping behind and NOT paid for it
and you should absolutely write to or phone CS HQ demanding an explanation and a refund PLUS COMPENSATION ....
there is a small point I'd like to make ...
It is "just" possible that they do not know the full and entire details of the Price Check scheme given that "THEY" (an EXPRESS) do not fully participate in it and there would have been (should have been) absolutely NO advertising of Price Check within the store .......
..... since EXPRESS stores ARE EXEMPT
As previously mentioned, many products may not be on offer or are a little more expensive than found in Extras and the like because you're paying for the convenience and relatively higher running costs of smaller stores.
As per the T&Cs >>> https://www.tescopricecheck.com/pricecheck/pages/tsandcs.aspx
16. Only Tesco Extra, Superstore and Metro formats are included. Products purchased in an Express, Petrol Filling Station or Homeplus store are not included in the Tesco Price Check.
Whilst you CAN redeem a Price Check voucher in an Express store, ANY shopping done in an Express store WILL NOT GENERATE a Price Check voucher
