Can I just ask at what age you would allow your children to go to the corner shop or the park with a friend but no adult? It's difficult wanting to give them independence while still keeping them safe.0 -
Quoia, these sort of dream situations only happen to you:rotfl:
The only closest one I have was on a windy corner in A's car park one day where bits of litter kept hurtling towards me all £60 worth. I just wanted to stay there all night and keep collecting:DYou can't live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you. ~John Wooden 154/06/2700 -

Its a difficult one hun, every child is different and my son was quite sensible really, and also as to whether there are busy roads to cross.
I started teaching my son when he was about 7 about crossing the road with me first, explaining about traffic all the time.
Then we moved onto his crossing a road further down when I was watching him from the corner. But these were quiet roads, not a lot of traffic.
I was a nervous wreck the whole time and eventually we worked up to his going round the corner, down a street and crossing to the shop.

It all hinges on being able to find the free Sainsburys Easy magazine. My store has loads of beer but no mags :mad:0
