Does anyone know if need to post a parcel if I weigh it work out the cost can I just put the amount of stamps needed to cover the cost on the box. As got lots of stamps :D;) or do I need to take it to PO. TIA

    Hiya hun
I bought loads of stamps just before the price increase in April.

I weigh and stamp almost all my ebay parcels and then take them to the post office as I want a postal receipt in case of non delivery and making a claim etc.

One way or another you have to either take a parcel to the Post office or hand in to a delivery office.

They tried this a few months ago and there was a problem with VATable items on the compare

Something that was £1 INCLUDING VAT was shown as such for Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons etc... (assuming that it was £1 at these stores)

but it was appearing at just 83p for ASDA ... even though it said £1 on your receipt

An ASDA £6 item on your receipt showed up as £5 on the APG (and was calculated as such) if it had VAT on it, but £6 if it didn't.

Took a while for ASDA to realise and understand this (I made 3 or 4 calls and sent them receipt details) before accepting there was a problem ....

... and they then withdrew the 3 hour check the following day ....

.... then another week or 2 before fixing it so that the receipts that had APG checked wrongly could be re-submitted and recalculated correctly.

So if you do do this, I'd keep a close eye on the results :), just to start with :D

Quoia if you are around, you mentioned before about keeping your receipts, perhaps for 6 months (I think) can you let me know how you do it? I think you put it on here a few months back.

Well I guess I may get my get my hand back in me "shopping" too. Seems to be one financial crisis after the other recently :(

Have the new T&C's come in for T's yet?

Is the Orange juice in the fridge? Presume it is with saying fresh. Also how many different items do I need to buy to be able to do an APG with Asda. Whenever I have managed to womble a receipt, it always says I don't have enough items.

Welcome back FV. Hope you are OK after your time out.
