Thanks for replying FT, no they kept the lot!

I thought you could only use 1 per transaction! I should have stood my ground should have asked for it back but knowing my luck it would have been a full blown investigation!

Was going to ring CS just to ask and report the store but is it really worth the hassle?

They cannot keep the receipt as that is proof of your purchase and belongs to you. What happens if whatever on it is off, you have no proof you bought it in Tesco. So in effect they stole your property (in my opiniion). The voucher they can the receipt a no no. It is worth the hassle as it needs sorting and anyways what are they doing with it, are they going to use it themselves? If Tesco are saying they are fraudelent then there is already an investigation going (doubt it, think they are lying trouts)

During DTD days when some stores didn't understand the terms and wanted my receipt I would argue and if no joy then would leave my shopping rather than leave my receipt as it's my proof I bought stuff.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Blue, I wonder will VC help me on this one :-

Acer Aspire one D250 not charging properly.

When I switch on the lappy and the power are plugged in to my lappy, the battery charging light blinks evertime (if it charge it should not be blinking!),

If I connect the new adapter that I bought from Ebay - it works but if I disconnect the charger - my lappy shut down!

Battery % shows no % charge when the lappy is connect to the adapter.

Any help please? I could be wrong - it could be that I need to change the battery (which is not a problem) but I don't want to do that until I get some info for you guys. Because it might not be the battery since I can use the lappy with the charger on.

I'll ask him for you but I think FG has answered you really. One thing, when you switch the laptop off do you go to start and press the upside down Q or press the arrow to the right of it and press shut down? I always used to think the upside down Q was the switch off on my Acer, but I also had a light flashing all the time and then looked into it and it isn't the shut off it "keeps your computer in a low power state so you can quickly resume working", so it is still using the battery. Loadsa places on ebay sell batteries fairly cheap (well cheaper than a new laptop even at Uncle Phil's;)).

Is the store local to you? If so then go back and ask for the names and your receipt back. Take your phone and the freephone no of Tesco and if they don't give it back to you then stand in the store (blocking the tills and so everyone can hear);) and ring head office. I know you think of all the stuff you should have said and when stuff happened to me in the beginning I was like you and got tongue tied and forgot what to do and say, but I have become hardened to Tesco and their staff. You are in the right and those idiots do not know their job:cool:

Pretend your talking to one of your kids, mummy is right and does know best and your just a little boy/girl who knows nothing and needs to grow up :D:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Farmville I would be straight onto Head office and also put it in writing to Uncle Phil (hopefully he took his email addy to his new job). DO NOT PRINT THE VOUCHER AGAIN because they might see it in their system when you complain that you couldn't use it and they nicked it. The only get out they have for taking it is this in the terms

This voucher is and shall remain the property of Tesco Stores Limited and is not for resale or publication.

otherwise it is like taking your money. Did you get a receipt from them as proof they took it and you didn't use it against any shopping? I hope you also got all the staff and managers names? When you talk/email Tesco tell them that the staff made you feel like a criminal etc and it is slander accusing you of fraud by saying you are trying to pass off a fraudulant voucher. I would lay it on thick saying how upset you were etc etc and hopefully you will get a full apology and a gift card for not only the price of the voucher but also the upset. Do not try and use the voucher once it is sorted though unless Tesco tell you to as it may have been flagged and anyways you don't know you can re print it so as far as your concerned it has gone. Good Luck.

Sorry FV for the bad advice never thought abut them flagging it:o

One extra thought doc does the new power supply may not have enough voltage to charge the battery,I have had that with few devices if i use a supply I have lying around, can power them but not charge.Might be worth double checking that it is exactly he same, look at what it says the volts and milliamp(ma) are.But chances are its the battery, especially if the old charger works to power it but doesn't charge it.

Re: 2 blocks of Lurpak for a £1, if you use the £1 off £3

Asda are selling the blocks 2 f £3 so would get back £1 with PC... free butter.

    Is this correct?

    Jax xx
    ..............................................................................
No i dont think it is.To get a price check asda has to be cheaper.
It would work if you bought 2 in asda and did their price check as tesco would be £1 cheaper BUT you would not be able to use the coupon as its a tesco one.
    Does that make sense?

    Yes, perfect sense
    Thank you
