My dining room window is 4ft wide and the curtains in there are a width and half which is 72"( the fabric is 48" wide )....so 66" is only 6 " less than that but mine are very full when closed....they were originally on track that overlapped but they are now on a pole....if you have overlapping tracking then I would get 72" , if it is a pole then 66" will be fine....

Just double check the drop, make sure you measure down from where the track or pole is....nothing worse than curtains that are too short.....once again if it is a pole then the length will be from under the pole, if it is a track then they will be slightly above it( to hide the track)

Thanks, its 54 from the pole

PM you need to measure drop from the pole to somewhere between the windowsill and the radiator (where you would like the curtain to finish) and also width of the pole as curtains usually go a few inches past where the actual window is (or you would get too much light thru).. ideal curtains should be 1.5 x width for a good gather up to 2 x width if you want them really "full". so 66 inches would do a 4ft window but you wouldnt have a great deal of gather in them, but this may not worry you if its for a bedroom, as when you draw them its dark and you go to sleep lol

i have bought really nice curtains from QD before if you have one local to you. If not homebase are advertising 15% off everything this weekend even sale prices so may be worth a look.

My bedrrom is really strange. Thye backdoor opens inwards off the bedroom and the rad is on a differnt wall to the window. the bed is under the window as theres nowhere else to put it.Its always difficult drawing the curtains just above the bed as they get caught on the headboard.

What a considerate little girl you have, so sweet and thoughtful of her. Thank you. Hopefully hubby and I are having a day to ourselves tomorrow, no plans to see mum, just to telephone her to check she is OK. Just taken her home and she seems OK but very tired, hopefully she will start to sleep a little better now.

Think that is what made it almost a special day, knowing that dad would have loved to see the sun shining and all the cakes at the church hall afterwards, especially lemon drizzle!:)

MT your DD sounds a real sweety :A

jax them prices sound good for the Park Inn in York, we were looking over a month ago for a weekend date for a double room couldn't get one for cheaper than £200 a night :eek::eek: we were looking at June/July so went on to check and they are indeed a lot cheaper than when we looked. We have their loyalty card and had an email book one night at Park Inn then qualify for a free night anywhere else, so we booked a night in Watford for £69 when we going out for a meal with friends(bit on the expensive side for a rm in watford but what we really want is the night in York), means we will book the York one as our free night:D;)
