Hope everyone who is poorly starts to feel better soon.

These summer colds and sore throats are a real nuisance, stops you enjoying the few nice days were having.

Morning folks. Another lovely sunny day. Getting my jobs done early today, just waiting for a respectable time before I mow the lawn.
Got DS coming home this weekend so really looking forward to seeing him again, although he is in for a real shock when he sees his grandad. Last saw him about 4 weeks ago and he has lost so much weight since then. Just hoping that seeing his GS will perk dad up a bit.

PM & MT - hope you are both feeling a little better today.

AH - will have a think about the neighbours, but it is a very small road and they are mostly elderly disabled people living there. Dad does get his medication delivered by the pharmacy now. The only other family is mum's sister, who is in her very late 70's and doesn't drive, although she would get the 3 buses to them a couple of times a week to help out.

    Enjoy the sunshine all.

SND it will be nice for you all having DS coming back for a few days and I take it you will have prepared him for how ill your dad has been. Hopefully you will have a nice weekend if dad too weak have you been able to maybe get hold of a wheelchair where you might be able to get him out for a walk in this lovely weather esp he might be more willing if GS sugests it;). Just wondering if there might be local charities might be able to help with additional support it's knowing how to find the info maybe age concern will have details.

Morning all, hugs and get well vibes to all in need of the PM and MT and anyone else.

Going to spend the day pottering in garden with baby I think he got to sit on and feel grass yesterday for the first time was quite comical to watch.

Also spent yesterday eve with the kids starting our jubilee scarecrow for the village celebrations. Very mse as he is mostly made of paper mâch! from tosco price flops and supermarket magazines minus their mocs lol.

Have a good day all ,CM

MT, gargle with dispersible aspirin. Will give you quick relief. I had tonsillitis recently and my GP suggested I do this. It really helped. I can post you some if you are too ill to get to the chemist

Agree good advice have also been told this by GP in the past
