Good Morning. I need some help which hopefully will come from my sis but if others have any ideas all help:D I got 2 x 240g packs of Asda large cooked and peeled prawns yesterday as it seemed a shame to leave them in the reduced when they were reduced to 49p:D I just don't know how to scoff them apart from in a curry (not want curry) or as they are in a salad so any suggestions for my shopping list/how to scoff please.
Can't help, I hate prawns
sorry

I usually use raw prawns to make Paella but when I have only got cooked ones I just add them to the pan to warm through just before serving. Prawns should not be cooked for too long as they can go a bit rubbery. If you like Paella I can let you have the recipe, it is a Weight Watchers one but you would never know, it is delicious.0 -
Jamie Oliver does all sorts with prawns; just google it:
jamie oliver prawn cocktail
jamie oliver prawn pasta
jamie oliver prawn stir fry
jamie oliver prawn cocktail bloody mary
jamie oliver prawn risotto
jamie oliver prawn pizza
jamie oliver prawn cocktail recipe
jamie oliver prawn curry recipe
Cooked ones are also very nice marinated in lime juice with some chopped up chilies, coriander, garlic, salt, pepper etc. Prawns are yummy! Let us know what you do in the end ;-)

Fry onion and garlic in oil for few minutes, add parsley, salt and pepper then add fresh cream and simmer for 10/15 min.
Just before tossing over any type of pasta add prawns just to heat them a bit...very tasty meal!
I also pour this cream sauce over salmon.

Serves 4
- Low Fat Cooking Spray
- 2 Medium Chicken Breasts cut into bite sized pieces
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 1 Red Pepper, de-seeded and chopped
- 3 Garlic Cloves, crushed
- 3 Ripe Tomatoes, chopped
- 1 Generous Pinch of Saffron
- 2 Teaspoons Paprika
- Small bunch of thyme, chopped (I very often use dried)
- 250g (9oz) Paella or Risotto Rice
- 1.2 Litres (2 pints) Chicken Stock (I sometimes have to reduce this amount)
- 400g (14oz) Mixed Seafood
- 125g (4.5oz) Frozen Peas
- Salt & Black Pepper
- Lemon Wedges to serve.
- In a large pan and using the spray oil, saute the chicken for 5 minutes. Remove from pan and leave to one side.
- Spray pan again with spray oil and then add onion, red pepper and garlic. Stir fry for 4 minutes or until softened
- Add the tomatoes, saffron, paprika and thyme. Cook for a further 2 minutes.
- Add the rice and stir until well mixed, then add half the stock. Bring to a simmer and cook (uncovered) for 10 minutes.
- Add the rest of the stock and sauted chicken and cook for a further 10 minutes.
- Add the seafood and peas and cook for a further 5 minutes.
- Check the seasoning and add salt and pepper if required.
- Serve with lemon wedges.
This recipe is now a family favourite. I do occasionally get complaints about the contents of the mixed seafood, so quite often I just put in prawns instead. Traditionally you can throw almost anything into a Paella, so good for using up leftovers and is also very healthy.
Enjoy!0
