The top one sounds/looks good thanks, but the prawns are cooked, can you cook them again? Love prawns but never buy with not knowing about cooking them etc:(Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

prawns are easy to cook hun.
If you buy tiger prawns, just make sure you remove the black backbone down the middle, as this is not good for digesting. Then cook in a little oil, once they turn pink, you know they are cooked, instead of the grey colour they are.
The little prawns you buy, cook them until they turn pink and curl up you know they are cooked.
You can't really go wrong with prawns. Just throw them out if they have been in the fridge for a few days and smell!!!!
With cooked prawns, you don't need to cook them again, just heat through the recipe so they absorb the flavours, you don't want to cook them too much as they shrink in size, so heat through to absorb flavours.0 -

Good Morning. I need some help which hopefully will come from my sis but if others have any ideas all help:D I got 2 x 240g packs of Asda large cooked and peeled prawns yesterday as it seemed a shame to leave them in the reduced when they were reduced to 49p:D I just don't know how to scoff them apart from in a curry (not want curry) or as they are in a salad so any suggestions for my shopping list/how to scoff please.
Easy peasy Sis!! even DD2 knows what to do with it:D:D:D

Wash them, pat dry with kitchen paper, put in a big bowl & pour Thousand island 1/2 bottles if you are using both packets & squeeze 1/2 fresh lemon juice (if you don';t have fresh one use the bottle one 1.5tbsp). Stir it all together & set aside.
Now slice your lettuce & cut cucumber into half (take the middle part seeds off) and cut into chunky strips & then cut into cubes. cut tomato into cubes (take off the seeded part too).Arrange all your salads onto a clear glass or bowl, top with your prawns, sprinkle with paprika & you get :-
I very seldom cook the cooked prawns in any of my dishes as you will loose the flavour & the texture of the prawns. I always cook using raw prawns.
The only time I use cooked prawns is when I make Sushi or prawn cocktail.RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -

Nice sandwich filling for a lovely lunch
Chop into smallish pieces and mix with some sweetcorn, a little diced red pepper and mayonnaise. then put between 2 slices of wholemeal bread that's been nicely buttered, preferably with Lurpak
