I have just had a pleasant hour on the phone to E.on:cool::cool:
I finally got around to taking my meter readings and putting them in online and when my new bill was produced it said they wanted to increase my DD by £19 a month:eek::eek::eek:
Me "no way am I paying you £19 more a month when we are coming into the summer months and my account is £16 in credit at the moment anyways."

E.on "Yes but the computer has estimated how much you have used in the year and it is more each month than you are paying by dd, The only reason you were in credit is because you got a loyalty bonus in November"

Me "I am not going to be using so much elec/gas now as hopefully the summer months are coming and anyway I expect your prices to go down soon:cool: so there is no way I am giving you a lot of my money to keep in your bank. If I owe you money in the next month or 2 then yes increase it but not when I am in credit.

E.on "Sorry nothing I can do, the computer will not let me override it"

Me "ok, I will be moving my supply and my friends so you will be loosing 2 accounts cos you wanna be greedy and earn loadsa dosh on my money/have me in credit till winter". Can I speak to a manager before I go ahead and move the accounts please.

E.on "Yes, but the manager will only say the same as me"

Manager on the phone "how about we only increase it by £4 at the moment and see what the account is like in a couple of months"

Me "ok that I can live with, Thanks.:D

I still might change and get cashback and then maybe change back again in a few months but for the moment I'm happy:D
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

  • I never stand any messing with call centres. I always ask to speak to their line manager. Cant be doing with being fobbed off, blah, blah, blah. Gets right on my *i*s!

Good for you Blue. We've recently swapped from scottish power to npower (have been with them before) (in fact have been with most of them now). £120 cashback through quidco. That'll do me. When I get fed up will change again, using OH name. We swap all the time.

If they want to rip us off all the time then Im happy to try and make my little cashback victories in return.

I fear for my backside! I have had a morning at home - alone (yay!) but I have done nada - have spent the last 4 hours sat at pc doing competitions (lost count), coupon sorting, shopping list, apg list. I wonder if I should try and prise my butt out from chair before I take root!

Feel a bit bad as I know OH is doing very manual work at moment and I am home sat on my arris! Bad feeling over! Pass me a chocolate...
Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x

My alphabet-girls are with me every step of the way x

Hi Mags. I have been thinking about switching to npower for the £100 cashback but was with them years ago and not like them. But then I suppose I can change again in a couple of months as there is no penalty (first thing check;)).
Now re the sitting doing nada, me too:o:o:o Eating chocolate:o:o:oLovely for breakfast/lunch though:beer: I have a list and coupons and the weather looks ok but I just don't feel like going out even though I know I must:(

Blue, try Ebico.co.uk you might not get cashback but you will find that they are a non-profit supplier nicking their utilities from southern electric.

All is back to normal & better I hope. We (me & DS) compromised. He go out & play & I get at least an hour a day from him to study. Except Friday no study (me can live with that just barely:D). Thanks Blue for been there for me XXoXX

Just wondering for anyone who has won the x months supply of unilever products prize on unilever VIP in the past how long did the prize take to arrive and I'm of the understanding it comes as some kind of vouchers- are they just typical MOCs or something else? Only other thing i have won is a £10 tesco gift card and that took about a week but as this is a bigger prize I presume it would take longer? Can't ask on their Facebook page as it is RIP now, ta. Xx
    Today 12:16 AM

I also won a prize last month & haven't heard a thing either. i e-mailed them address info etc too. In previous months I noticed people started thanking unilever for their prizes (by draw) around 2 weeks after it was announced. Although unilever do say when they contact you about your win that you should expect your prize within 28 days of giving your contact details to them!!

Hope this helps and congrats on your win!! Hopefully you'll be getting your free goodies soon.

    Hi all

Received an email today from purina one to say I was successful in the cat food trial

If you entered, worth checking emails x

I got an email about this too, nearly deleted it, in fact I totally forgot i'd even registered. Should be good...but what's the betting that kitty turns her nose up at the food and that's the end of that :rotfl: (either that or refuses to eat anything else after )

    Evening all :)

Thougth with yesterdays fantastic weather we had seen the back of the rain obviously wasn't ment to be:(

CL hope you get toothache sorted:(

Had terrible trouble trying to ring for DMR numbers this week seem like big changes a foot 5 calls to try and get 1 number:eek: at different times over the weekend and even tonight insisting we go online to request the number and apparently can only get 2 over a 6 week period:mad: Just feels like to much hassle all the time now.

I had the same kinda hassle as you when ringing for a no. I was told they no longer give no's out on the phone, I had to get a free one on my account. WHen I told them already had a no missing last week and cannot get more than one every 8 weeks they ended up giving me a no. I agree, not sure if it is worth bothering with it now. I'll give it a couple more weeks then may close one of my accounts.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)
