    Good morning folks

    Hope everyone is well.

Weather changed, nowhere near as nice as yesterday, cold and dull, think it will rain later.

Going to asda later, want to use some apg's that are running out.

My DS wombled over £50 worth on Friday and Saturday, best he has done for ages, getting soaked in the process though.

    take care everyone

    CWxx

Wow, your DS did brill. You have my address, can you send DS to me for a few days of wombling please:D
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

    oops - wrong forum. Moved!

Hi all and good evening couponers.;)

Just thought I'd share with you a decent coupon, which I don't think is limited to any amount, assuming you have different email addresses.

As it's bloody freezing at the moment, I was checking up the Quakers Oats coupon

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3840565

It is £1 off a pack. Now comparing Tesco and Asda, I bought two 1kg quaker oats which costs me £1.75 x 2 = £3.50 minus the £2 coupons = £1.50

    HOWEVER

If you buy them as a pair, and don't put them through with the rest of your shopping, you'll get another 50p back on JTD, as they are on offer in Asda at £3.00 for two.

So a £1.00 will get you 2 kilos of this delicious 'stodge' :D Just add Raisins and some syrup etc. Delicious!

Please Sir can I have some more!
Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies
  • Chalk and cheese weather today! Absolutely stormy, dark and cold this morning, after lunch bright warm sunshine and blue skies. Even have, dare I say it, washing out!

The gardens are looking pretty sorry for themselves although I notice the grass and weeds are looking dapper!

One hour spent wombling (Sunday pm, raining and windy) resulted in a total £30.72! Am really pleased. Pennies exceptionally tight at the moment so this is really useful.

All seems to come at once, not just the usual dreaded bills, but mot, road tax, brownie subs, after school club, new p.e t-shirt needed, school trip, brownies jubilee trip to London. List goes on. All need to be paid out for NOW!!!!

Could I have a good old moan about how dd3 school is beginning to pander to the pc brigade, rules for rules sake? Petty things. Wish they would concentrate on the bigger issues. They (not just dd3 school, I imagine most of them these days) all claim they have a zero tolerance to bullying. Oh yes, they put up the "buddy" posters, and never fail to remind parents whenever possible that they have such zero tolerance but truth is it still goes on and they are blind to it. Yet they waste resources on sending out letters saying that the governors have decided that black tights are now no longer suitable (has to be grey or blue). OMG, does it matter that much?

Safeguarding I know is a sensitive and important issue but again I feel sometimes it is taken too far. Every parent is made to feel like a potential abuser just by being on the premises. Comparisons are constantly being made to another local school which made national headlines recently where a male teacher has recently been sentenced to a lengthy jail term for a 15 yr long tirade of abuse on children he has taught. With all due respect, its not just parents they have to be vigilant about is it?

Also, over the last two years various pieces of playground equipment have been provided for children to use. Of course all children want to play on it, yet the school absolve themselves from any responsibility if your child hurts themselves on it. My child I know is generally clumsy and would fall over a matchstick with the wood shaved off let alone be allowed to play on climbing type equipment unsupervised apart from a dinner lady.

To top it all school trip letters specify that children are allowed to take games consoles on coach trips but yet again, no responsibility is taken from the school for loss or damage. I truly believe that they should take a firm stance and say no such consoles are allowed. Now Ive got to deal with moaning from Dd3 that "its not fair" when the school should have said no to begin with.

Whatever happened to good old playground games and singalongs on trips?

They all make me so cross!

    Rant over! sorry.
Love, through the trees, past the sky, beyond the northern lights; and I won't let go. May your soul and spirt fly sweetheart x

Evening all. Hoped May might be better for us all than April was. Unfortunately got a phone call at work today to say dad re-admitted to hospital yet again. Just feel here we go again so no time for wombling or even shopping at the moment.
Hope those who have been poorly or had toothache are now sorted.
