FV if your around at lunchtime ish tomorrow and reading the elite could you do me a massive favour and post on here if the ketchup and shampoo is still working around then please. I can access the internet on my phone and have this thread bookmarked so can look on here easily but it would take me ages to go through the elite as a one off to check. No probs if your busy/not around, I will just take the gamble on one.:D

No bother if around I will post for you :)

I forgot to ask Blue & Quoia, I have not entered a DM rewards code in week's!!! Does it matter when I start again or not. I don't know if you can just start after a period of not doing it. I completed a full set last time I did it.

It's shutting down after this week for 2 weeks and changing. The no's will be on the papers themselves and on ones during the week. It will make it easier for people who are only doing one account as there should always be a no, but for people like me who have 2 accounts then it will be difficult as there won't be many spare no's around if any:( (unless I write one down of another paper when I go in the shop, which then if others do the same it could mean that a lot of no's are already used:eek:)
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

I haven't printed anymore of the coupons for you cos I thought I would wait until we meet and bring them. I also have some of the kleenex coupons off the huggies boxes and I will bring them as well. You can put a pack of the pocket tissues in all the kids school bags then;)

No Blue no pics just in my head. I really do not want to go down that route at all, it's not me and also after DD1 died the school (before the merge) were wonderful so I couldn't do that.

Quoia your comments about your diet etc is how my little girl is now - still soft diet and drinking through a straw bless her. Yes to the left of the bollards is tarmac (the path in towards the classes) and to the right is a grass embankment.

Your poor mouth too sounds very painful :( did you have any bother with your teeth etc since the accident?

See, I could be wrong but I **think** you are trying to get me to see that it was an accident that could have happened anywhere and just put it down to that. Pre May 2011 I would have done just that. Now, I feel that I am on a thin line that is splitting common sense and over anxiousness and it is hard to figure out which one.

(ps if I am wrong then sorry for being presumptuous and if I am right thank you :A )

No problems with teeth that had anything to do with the accident.

Just talking about it, explaining to someone what and how, and any subsequent feedback can help you come to terms with the reality of the incident and put into a wider perspective.
I wanted to understand a little more and I think you've decided that it was just an accident, a rather tragic one agreed, but possibly one that could have happened in many other locations with hard edged or even sharp objects and children playing with the abandonment that children do

If they removed the bollards and put up a 4 foot high metal railing fence, would that 100% prevent a similar accident ever occurring ?
Are there similar objects that would be as dangerous if you tripped and fell against in a similar manner ?

I pass a school quite near by and about 3 months ago very solid (cast iron I think) "bollards" have been erected just outside the school gates. I'd say they are about 2 feet tall and I wouldn't like to fall against one.
They are quite close to the kerb edge and right in a place where they would be easy to trip over.
There is one either side of the entrance and 2 more on the opposite side of the road on the corners of the street opposite
They've been erected to make it safer for the children from a traffic point of view and make drivers slow down.
How do they do this ?

    The "bollards" ARE YOUNG CHILDREN

A blonde haired girl with a light blue jumper and a navy skirt, white socks and black shoes.
A young boy with a white shirt and grey shorts wearing a cap

One of the ones opposite the school is a black girl with a pink top ....

Safety item from one point of view, an object of possible injury from another

Not sure the school handled your incident with any measure of urgency or confidence. Should have phoned 999 for an ambulance immediately given that a staff member witnessed it and must have recognised the seriousness of likely injuries.
Only real question I suppose is was there negligence ? Is someone to blame ?

Anyway, all the best for now, time for bed (said Zebedee :))

PM, I hope you enjoyed your wedding day yesterday and you now finally feel complete as you are a married woman. The only way forward now is up :)

I went to a wedding reception yesterday and thought of you. I didn't know the couple, but they had hired a wedding singer, (who was awful by the way, from the 2 lines she sang!). Her amp broke as she set up and she mentioned something about it recently being in for repair. Someone managed to borrow another amp after 2 hours from a local pub. The staff who were lovely brought the amp over, set it all up, it was working lovely, the wedding singer started singing, there was a bit of feedback, turned the amp down, all ok. Singing awful! She decided it wasn't loud enough!:mad: and turned the amp up!!!!! Cue massive feedback and everyone covering their ears.

The couple who had brought the amp left, and the wedding singer left..... :rotfl:

I have been told she sings locally in the pub and is awful!

So after 2 and half hours with no music, the groom went to his car, brought back an armful of cds, and started to play them on the cd player provided by the venue.

And do you know what?Everyone enjoyed the CDs, they were dancing, chatting, smiling and it was a lovely wedding reception.

As DH said in years to come, or in a year's time, they will look back on yesterday and say remember when the wedding singer's amp broke and laugh.

So nobody's wedding is perfect. What is perfect is how you make the most of it and enjoy it and the company of friends and family there to celebrate your wedding.

How true hun, all that matters is that PM got married, everything else can fade into the background now. All the stresses of it is in the past.

Hope PM has a long and happy marriage to the man she loves.
