Re. the Asda coupon policy. I sent an email to executive relations on Wednesday this week asking if anything had changed and this is the reply that I received today...
Thank you for your email to Andy Clarke our coupon policy. As part of Andy's team, I'm available on his behalf to respond to any customer issues.
I’m sorry you’re unsure of what our policy is after reading different information on the internet. I can certainly understand how frustrating this must be for you, especially as you don’t know who is right.
At Asda we accept all manufacturers' coupons (including internet coupons) in line with the terms and conditions of each coupon I.e. Customers must buy the product to redeem the coupon.
There is no limit to the number of coupons that can be redeemed in a transaction, however stores discretion does have to be used and most stores do say only 10% of the customer’s bill can be used in coupons.
The coupons do have to be redeemed against the product specified, e.g. 24 x 10p coupons off Heinz baked beans - customer must purchase 24 cans of Heinz baked beans.
*The coupon must be 'in date'.
*The coupon must not be for a specific retailer other than Asda. e.g. 20p off toothpaste at Tesco.
*The customer must have purchased the product.
*Each coupon should have a bar code, which should be scannable.
All coupons tendered at self-scan will require authorisation. This means with each coupon scanned, the system will automatically trigger an intervention and the host must authorise.
So it looks like business as usual.Appreciation to all who contribute and have guided me in making my couponing "career" possible since 2009 xx0 -

Thanks for doing this although their policy changes every five minutes as only 2 weeks ago i had a fight with my store over the 10% of total shop rubbish. (I went in with just freebie mocs)
Put in a complaint and got told the 10% thing wasn't correct policy and got a phonecall from my local to apologise and find out which member of staff gave me grief.
As usual i think they make it up on a daily basis.0 -
