Rightmove Website, is there an easy way to...

On the Rightmove site, unless it's staring me in the face (or discreetly hidden) I can't see if there's a way to work out how long a property has been listed, or if there's a history of it's previous asking price.
I don't mean what it might have been sold for, previously, just offered & which agents had it.
Thanks in advance.

I really dont think there is mate:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
The only thing I am aware of being able to do is for you to work backwards by going from 'properties added in the last... 24 hours, 3 days, 7 days and 14 days.'
However the next option after 14 days is 'no preference' which means the most I think you can do is find out if the property has been on for more or less than 14 days! Remember Rightmove is owned by EAs with a vested inteest in protecting the buyer so it's not in their interest to let you know if a property has been on the market for a long time or the price has dropped!
I get daily updates from Rightmove on properties in the price range and area we have been looking to buy for the last year... From that I am well aware of the properties that have been on the market a while and/or had price drops. However, I don't know of any shortcut ways to do this. If anyone knows of any way I'd love to know!“A journey is best measured in friends, not in miles.”

I have been looking on rightmove for months and have noticed that EAs also sometimes relist a current property as a new property - particularly if the price has dropped.0

If the garden is measured in 'chains' and the price given in pounds, shillings and pence, that might mean the property has been on the market for a long time.
Garden views could be a giveaway if you look at the kinds of plants that are in season. Maybe you could guess the time of year by the lengths of shadow.
Perhaps you could chop your computer in half and count the rings.
I think I'd just ask.

But the problem you will find is that they could lie. If your house has been on the market for 6 months would you admit it?
I've seen houses that have been on Rightmove for a year and when I have asked the vendor this question during a viewing they replied only 3 weeks.0 -
There is a facility to do this, but only if you have access to RightmovePlus- this part of the site can only be accessed by agents.
PM me the postcode and house number and i will give you the info you need.0 -
Another thing is to go to the full brochure using the link if available. There is sometimes a "creation" date on the end of the brochure. Also, ask the estate agent and not the seller. The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0
