Ive just bought a Panasonic Plasma 42" tv and i want some advice if possible.comet say i can get a 5 year guarantee for £249 and this covers everything including screen burn, but i want to know if there is anywhere cheaper.

My plasma is insured through Domestic & General. New for old if the screen is beyond reasonable repair in the 5 years. If you decide to extend it further they offer a sliding scale value. The insurance is transferrable should you ever sell the plasma, too.
I can recommend them having a few things with them and having actaully used them for claim repairs and replacements. And no I don't work for them !
If you have an existing policy they will offer you 10% on any other policy. Maybe insure some thing cheaper , first ?

my Sony Bravia which I paid £420 is 1 year old and out of manufacturers warranty, Matercare have offered me 4 years all in insurance for £127 (or 10months @£10.70 ) that equates to £31 per year for 4 years peace of mind
