Just got a mortgage - what insurances do I need?

Hello,

I hope someone out there can help me. I am 25, no children, single. I have just bought my first property (yay!). It's a lease hold flat conversion. I have had a mortgage agreed, and I had a meeting with the bank today about what insurances I should get. I was offered 'mortgage repayment cover' which I believe pays my mortgage for 12 months, should I be off work for any reason. This was quoted at almost £40 a month. On top of that I was also offered 'Critical Illness' cover at £30 per month.

After reading through this site, I have found another company that will give me mortgage repayment cover for £8 per month (!), but I am struggling to find a cheaper critical illness quote.

Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Laura
