Yesterday I bought a jacket from Debenhams but when I got home I found that the security tag had been left on it. It was one of those with the red dye in them so I don't think they set off the alarms at the exits.
Anyway I took it back today for the tag to be removed and at the same time asked who to contact to claim some of the expense incurred in having to return to the store. I was asked how much I thought it had cost me and I said that it was a 24 mile round trip and that my company pay me 40p per mile. Add the £2.50 parking charge this came to £12.10p and I cheekily said I would settle for a round £12.00.
To my surprise and to Debenhams credit the sales person said he would settle for £15.00 and duly handed me the cash with abject apologies for the inconvenience I had been put too.

Well done Debenhams!!!!!!

I had a parcel go missing recently & they gave me £10 extra onto my credit card with my refund.

Didn't even have to ask for any compensation, it was offered straight away.

Very impressed!
