family hotels or apartments in BARCELONA

looking for a room to accomodate 2 adults and 2 kids (11,9) in one room in barcelona, or an apartment for 3/4 nights after we come back from a cruise

3/4 star and reasonably priced
any suggestions???

Definiteley go for an apartment! We booked through a company called Love Barcelona (I think - google them) and it is SO much cheaper than a hotel, the apartments are really nice, clean and well appointed and you get a really great choice of areas.

I second having an apartment. It gives you more room and you can make yourself a snack or drink whenever you want.

I used www.rent4days.com and they are excellent, top customer services, apartments are lovely and very clean. I also asked for a discount and one of the charges was knocked off, think it was about 30 or 40 euros.

Can't seem to find the one we booked but think it was the one called Stylish Loft on El Born which is a nice area to stay in, quiet and near everything too.
