Can't get Broadband!

This is really fustrating! I cant get Broadband with Sky because I live 3 miles away from the Telephone Exchange - How do I find out when a new Telephone Exchange is being built closer to me so I can get broadband?

I'm further than that from my exchange and I can get broadband. Are you sure it's just that sky aren't available - have you tried other suppliers?

There isnt going to be a telephone exchange built closer to you than the one you are currently served from...are you saying you cannot have broadband at all or just from Sky ?, 3 miles isnt that far that broadband wouldnt work, so have you asked other providers ?
There are some areas where the telephony isnt delivered over a 'copper pair'...TPON ( telephony over a passive optical network) is used in a few places and it isnt compatible with exchange based broadband services from any supplier, if this the case with yourself, then 3G mobile is probably your only choice, presuming cable isnt available

What is the name of you telephone exchange, and where do you live in relation to it.

I don't think they'll be prepared to build a new exchange nearer to you just so that you can get broadband-unless you offer to finance it!
