ParkingEye and Aldi

Options
I have just come home to a fine from ParkingEye for being on an Aldi car park for 46 mins and 2 seconds. I thought the time limit was an hour? The letter states you can only park there for 0 hours and 0 minutes, so obviously an error on the automated letter! Should I ignore it?

    Hi again Martyne.

Of course you should ignore it. Do you usually pay money to strangers who send you stupid letters asking you to? If so, could you give me your name and address?

As I said on the other thread you were on, all that remains is to ask to see the manager of Aldi and advise him that if this is the way they treat their customers, he has just lost one.

Martyne, you must be looking for something to do if you can be bothered to time your parking to within 2 seconds. Seems a bit unlikely. Anyway, not to worry, just ignore is the general advice.

I think that was what was printed on the ticket, col! Aldi probably have an ANPR system.

Most likely you have to do something idiotic like put your number plate into a machine to press for a free ticket.

As it's a free ticket you haven't caused Aldi any loss, apart from at least 1 returning customer hopefully

It;s not a fine, it is a phishing invoice with no consequential loss for Parking Eye to act on. It is as enforceable as an offer from a Nigerian 419er
