Buyer paid - but not enough.

Hi,
A foreign buyer (Japan) bid at the last moment and won an item of mine on the 6th March even though I stated that I would only post to the UK.
They paid instantly using Paypal but did not include enough to cover postage.
I contacted the bidder and told them that if they paid the extra postage I would be willing to post to them in this instance.
I then received a reply asking me to tell them how to pay the extra postage, which I did.
They have not sent the additional payment and despite emailing twice I have had no further contact from them.
I don't want to keep their money indefinately, but It has cost me in ebay & Paypal fees.
What is the best course of action to take?
Thanks for any advice,
Richie

take the money and run......hehehehe
Not really! .........I would go through the NPB process and issue the bidder with a refund! that way you get your fees and they get their money back!

this is a quite common stunt, pulled by overseas buyers - they think if they buy at the last minute, you cant block their bid (if you dont post overseas) and that because they have paid promptly, you wont argue over the postage0

I agree, I think it is a fairly common stunt. I hadn't realised this happened until I was talking to other ebayers at work and we all had stories of people, paying just slightly short of the actual amount.
Most of the time we let it go and sent the stuff anyway on the basis it wasn't worth arguing for a small amount, but it made us all realise that these buyers could be getting away with lots every year.
I now refund money when it is short and raise a new invoice and if they don't pay that I start NPB on them.
The one thing to remember though with paypal is you must refund the initial payment and raise a new invoice. If they just pay the difference on a second invoice you end up paying two lots of fees!
