when to start switching process from a fixed tariff?

We're fixed until the end of March, and I have already sussed where we need to go next. Can I safely start the switching process now and not get stung for early termination fees because the switch happened a few days early?

    Yes you can. A switch will take 4-5 weeks, not less than three.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
