    I think I've read this comes in in July. You can buy single use ones on Amazon - around a fiver for 3. Probably cheaper than they'll be at the ferry port.
    Also, don't forget your satnav shouldn't show speed cameras. Plenty of threads around telling you how to sort this (possibly!)

    If you're travelling to France this summer, I would save your money and wait and buy them in a French supermarket. Two factories in France are producing these things. I would guess that the tests have to comply with some standard so any you buy from sources outside France and not produced by these factories may not be recognised by les flics.

    Don't worry about being stopped and fined by the gendarmes before you get to buy the testers. Although the law comes into force from 1st July, they will not start to fine for not having the testers till 1st November.
