My laptop keeps installing the optional updates even though I told it to ask me as I only want important and recommended updates.
I have gone so far as to turn the updates of all together by selecting never check for updates 3 days ago and I have just checked and it is still downloading optional updates which I do not want, what can I do?

Just right click those optional updates and hide them. They will never come up again0
