Charges when claiming ppi

Can any one help. I started a ppi claim following a tv ad. I called the company and said I was pretty sure I had never taken out ppi as we have always been self employed and knew it would not cover us. They persuaded me to give it a go any way. This was a few weeks ago and I have now rec'd notice that they want to charge £85 per case for a cancellation fee. They are saying this was in the terms I signed which I stupidly must not have read but at no point did they point this out (much like ppi!!)
Has any one else experienced this and what did you do

And you are probably right. You cant miss it unless you dont read your statements or the documents. They are saying this was in the terms I signed which I stupidly must not have read but at no point did they point this out (much like ppi!!)
If you signed and returned them then you are largely stuffed unless the contract is badly worded.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). You can always tell them you are not cancelling and to carry on.
Say that you were missold PPI by No Body whose address is No Where. So that is who they must approach.0 -

Hi. Sorry to be so incredibly thick, but I don't follow this. You were pretty sure you'd never taken out PPI, so why did you phone up a claims company in the first place? Don't take it the wrong way. I'm just uber confused.0
