My kids lived on leftover cake for about 3 days after our wedding. We cut it at the evening do and then brought it out after the buffet for people to help themselves...seemed not many people did!0

We're serving wedding cake as the dessert, along with cream or ice cream. We thought there'd be no point in paying for cake AND dessert, when cake IS dessert! hehe
The cake will have a vegan top tier, then tiers of chocolate fudge cake, lemon Madeira, and traditional fruit cake so there'll be plenty of choice for all!Life on a shoestring!0 -
PinkPrincess, we're having cupcakes too. Do you mind me asking - how many cupcakes are you doing in relation to your number of guests? We'd originally requested 80, but our numbers including evening guests are now looking to be around 100. I'm wondering whether we need more, but 100 cupcakes seems like a lot!
We are hoping to have just over 100 guests and we are having 80 vanilla cupcakes and a chocolate cake topper plus we are having a sweetie buffet so Im sure we will have more than enough as Im sure not everyone will have a cake.0 -
Ha - I'm doing the opposite - we're having just shy of 50 guests - I'm making 60 individual cheesecakes
Guess what I'm going to be eating the next day
Cannot wait mmm cheesecake! :rotfl: 0 -
have been to a wedding where cake was served as dessert, and to another where the cake was cut at the church and served with champagne while photos were being taken. the cake was then removed to the reception venue and placed out with the evening buffet.0
