  • Well I've defuzzed myself, painted toe & fingernails, I'm wearing jewellery & I've got perfume on. Feel so much better for it. Ran out of time to do a full body moisturise after shower though so that's a job for later. Enjoying knowing I've made an effort for now though!

    Hey Everyone,

Well I'm feeling a little, um, delicate this morning :o.
Had a few drinks with friends last night. But it wasn't all naughty, we did have a big Just Dance session - they love it just as much as me! :D Must have done a couple of hours in total so I think I've earned my £1 for exercise... Now I just need somewhere to put it, lol. I've got one of those electronic money banks, but we use it for all of our spare change, and I split it with DS1 every so often. Think I may have to treat myself to one of those little money pots with lids (so I can reuse it every month :money:).

Feeling pretty stressed this morning, I've got so much to do before go go on hol (4am Mon morning!), including an assignment that is barely started :(. I've been doing it all week but haven't been able to really get into it as every time I sit down someone wants me to get up and do something for them! I've still got to get everything sorted for the hols too: packing, travel money, sorting out things like the rubbish bin collections, DS1 & 2's prescriptions. I probably shouldn't have gone out last night, but I've been that stressed out this week that I think I needed it - I was also pretty good, we didn't drink much, and I was home by 3am (which is very early for us! lol). Doubt I'll do any pampering today, although I may have a nice soak in the bath later.

Best get on with things... Oh, and if you see me hanging around on here when I should be working, please tell me to go away, lol! ;)
  • I'm in!

I'm very lazy when it comes to exercise and taking care of myself and this needs to be improved upon! I really like the idea of combining money and exercise.

I walked home from work today (it's 9 miles along a river) and the sun was shining and it was lovely, I'm going to start doing it more often.

I can only put a little bit of money extra aside but starting Monday I think for every 30 minutes I do I'll put 50p in a pot - doesn't sound like much but I'm sure it'll motivate me to do more so I can put more money in :) and then at the end of the month I'll transfer the amount I have into my overdraft to try and pay that off! When that's paid I'll use the money to treat myself :D
  • Can I join as well? Really love the idea of this thread :D
I'm not sure how much money I can spare for the pot but I'll maybe go for 50p to start. I managed a 30 min run this morning and I went to a Zumba class this week- my first exercise in about 4 months..... just need to keep it up....

  • You're all so inspiring!
I have taken a couple of tentative steps this morning. Back on the diet bandwagon for the four millionth time.
And have applied for another job - my confidence took a bit of a knock when I applied for a job a few weeks ago which I thought I was perfect for, but didn't get.

    Hey Everyone,

Lots of great starts to the challenge! :j

I'm feeling a bit more chilled out now. :) I've got lots of holiday checklists - one of things to do before we go, things to go in the suitcases, things to go in my bag, and things to do on the day (last bits to pack, put rubbish out, etc). I've been out and have got just about everything we need, got a bit of packing done, etc, etc, so there's not much left to do now :).

Not done much more of my assignment (:(), but am going to do a bit more later, I'm then going to have a good read through my workbook while soaking in the bath - it's my attempt at multitasking! :o :rotfl: Seriously though, I do find that I take more in when I read in the bath - probably as it's so peaceful and relaxing. Will also have a notepad and pen handy incase I have any great ideas when reading, lol.
  • Hiya, sorting through my bags of excess clothing, 8 pairs of jeans, 6 do not fit. Do I hang on the them for my weight loss, saving £s or eBay them ?

Hope all having a healthy weekend. I am going round to my allotment, to plant seeds.

Nice sunny day here in the North East, hoping the sun is shining for all.

    :)

sell them, you can always put the money into a savings account and when you have lost the weight, use the money saved to buy new clothes :D

I definately agree with sell them and then you get to treat yourself afterwards!

I've added another start to my signature because I went and got food shopping for a month and then went for a walk down into town and bought myself a sealed pot to put my change in. I don't know how much I've put in there at the moment but my 1's 2's and 5 pences are going in there :)
