Cheap 2nd car needed. Any help/tips would be great

Looking for a small run around. My budget is 2,000 it has to be an automatic (as my mum can only drive an automatic) but I want to keep things as low as possible.
I have seen a lot of clios for sale (52 and 53 plate) but the road tax for a year is £190!
Are there any cheaper cars (Low road tax band + low insurance)
The car would be used for travelling to work which is about a 45 minute drive.
Apart from that it would be mainly town driving , shopping etc.

clio autos at this price are fine if they are perfect
unfortunately at this age you might be buying trouble
i would be looking for a minter low mileage micra k12 made up to 52 plate
theres plenty about and an inspection should come back A1 if you find a good one
there are other small autos available too like a nice little toyota but these are usually mega mileage by now as a different post code tend to buy and use them0
