Car insurance renewal no claims question

I received my renewal reminder for car insurance the other day.
When I joined up with them, I sent them proof of 7 years no claims. On the renewal it says 5.
I think as when I signed up and the no claims option was 5 years or more, they have taken this as 5 years.
I want to change to a new insurer, but how can I prove that I now have 8 years no claims?
Should I call them and ask them to send a new reminder out stating the correct no claims?
Any help would be appreciated
