Credit Card PPI and Bankruptcy

Hi,
I'm a newbee to the forum and have followed the instructions of searching for an answer to my question that may have been previously asked but after 2 1/2 hours I've decided to post my question. Here goes:
I had to file bankruptcy back in 2007 and was discharged in 2010. Leading up to seeking financial advice I noticed that I had PPI insurance on my Royal Bank of Scotland credit card and called to see why I was being charged. At the time I was told that I had signed up for it and had been charged PPI from day one. I argued this point at the time as I'd worked within the credit industry at that time for almost 10 years and knew how useless the insurance was.
I explained this to the person I spoke to and was told that I most definitely signed up for it. I asked for proof as in a copy of the original credit card application. They could not provide it. Do I have any chance of going after a claim? Oh by the way they are still chasing me for the credit card amount in full so I figure what's fair is fair!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. You are entitled to complain. However, you wont see a penny of redress if you succeed. The money can be used against any debt that was written off and surplus sent to the official receiver to distribute to your creditors.Oh by the way they are still chasing me for the credit card amount in full so I figure what's fair is fair!!
What part of bankruptcy do they not understand?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
You worked in the credit industry for almost 10 years and didn't bother to check your credit card statements.
How daft is that?0
