agree - gumtree is a gold mine - as is the local paper
probably quite fortunate in that i have a van for collection though.
the other thing i would say is wait till your in the house before you buy alot of the items or you may find your self buying the wrong things - colour size and shape , i realise some things like sofas etc have a fairly long lead time but the world wont end if you have to sit on a bean bag for a month/6 weeks
i have a couple of things i wont buy used though - 1 is a matress and 2 is a couch.0 -
Doing anything before completion is insanity.
A 0% purchase and keeping money in your off set is a good idea.
