Advise Needed Please !!!!!

hi just got letter for parents natwest account saying they were gonna refund some charges due to them taking charges from benifit money they refunded some but then took £1350 to pay towards the loan :eek: .....putting parents overdrawn by £1350 + and incuring more charges !!!! parent have loan protection cover that pays the loan as they are currently not working but as they kept getting charges the £300 that was paid in for the loan has been eaten up by charges and so they missed a few payments....so i told them to call DSS and stop any money going into bank as it will just get eaten up by the O/D and told them to cancel all D/D AND S/O from that account and to basically not use it at all.....how do they cancel a D/D ? through the bank or through the company ? and was this advice correct....they will have to pay back the O/D but will have to offer something like £1 week or so untill they get all the charges back....
