PPI Advice urgently needed!!!

Having had two loans in the last 10 years (which I cannot find paperwork for??!!) and also having moved 3 years ago, I know that I was told that I had to have PPI on these loans to qualify for them.
I am now unsure what to do or who to contact as having moved and believe that both loans were in my maiden name, am unable to locate the loan settlement paperwork . Also one of the companies was Egg and the other was Abbey National.
If left for these companies to contact me ( they both no longer exist?!) will I be traced by married name or found at all???
I am just so unsure what to do as I am convinced I will be due some much needed money back!!!
Any help or advice, gratefully received!!!

The only advice I can suggest is Egg are now Barclays and Abbey National are now Santander. Contact both using your maiden name, making sure they are aware that you had loans with the companies they took over and see if either have any information about these loans. See what they say before you go any further
