Claim ESA and Child Benefit/Tax Credits?

I have recently became a parent to a beautiful new born baby and am wondering how this will affect my benefits.
I am unable to work and am currently waiting to attend a tribunal to appeal an ESA medical I failed late last year.
I spoke with someone from the CAB but they were not 100 per cent sure if I could claim ESA (if I win the appeal) and Child Benefit/Tax Credits.
I would appreciate any advice/help.
Kind regards,
Joogs

Child benefit is not related to anything else (unless you're earning over 44k or so), claim it.

i currently am in receipt of child tax credits child benefit and esa with no problems and all declared so cant see a problem HTHIt is not what you give your friend, but what you are willing to give him that determines the quality of friendship. -- Mary Dixon Thayer0

Me too, haven't had a medical yet tho.
Are you a lone parent? Would you be able to claim Income Support instead of ESA?Be who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind. They say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness. So I talk to the cats instead.0
