Cook book buying addiction?!

I too have a cookbook addiction - well a recipe addiction really... not only do I have a lot of cookbooks I also have two big folders of printed and cut out recipes split into sweet and savoury!
I started this year with a resolution to cook at least one new recipe each week and so far i've managed it - though that hasn't stopped me buying more - this last week alone I bought the cookie girls book, nigel slaters fast food and the big book of bread! - oh well

I still want to buy the Takeaway Secret, even though we don't buy many takeaways. There is another few I really want too, but I think I'm going to resist.

I have to resist, small house + big books = Nowhere to keep them

i have that book. It is a good book and it is full of very of very good and easy recipies. One book you must buy!

I got mine for 99p in the Works sooooo not a great deal of money and it is just a wee small paperback that won't take up much room.....Does that help

I know we love our 'real' books, but a while back they had Takeaway Secret to download for free on Amazon. At the moment it's not a good deal (£3.22), but it may come back if you keep an eye out. The Indian and American "Secrets" are 77p.

I love cookbooks. I'm pretty good at limiting myself to one shelf on my bookcase though. Thankfully my local library has quite an extensive cookbook collection that I can check out whenever I get a new book urge and the shelf is full!

And I wont be culling my stash any time soon. if DH doesnt like it, then he can show me how to cull by starting on his tool collection (the garage is chocablock) and then work on his motorbike gear collection.... and I know culling either of these aint gonna happen, no sireeee..
