Just put the washing soda in the machine (dispensing drawer) along with a reduced amount of washing powder
I do tend to wash his kit as soon as he takes it off but even if I leave it till the next day it still comes up sparkly. Before I used washing soda there used to be horrible grey stains from the mud on the white parts and that was with using top brand washing powders
I also use white vinegar in the final rinse as fabric softener damages the transfers on the kit"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Ok - just to cover all my bases I've ordered soda crystals, lemon, bicarbonate of soda and salt, as part of my online tesco shop. (saving £15 using a voucher - yeehah!).
I've also bought some white vinegar.
I'm convinced I'm gonna move those stains.
Cheers!0 -

I've added your thread to an earlier one on the subject.

Hi again.
We have a technical hitch.
Every now and then, when threads get merged the newer items just disappear. That's what has happened to today's posts on cleaning mould from a pram. The team are aware of this and are working on restoring the thread.

Most pram covers can come off to be washed. That's what I did recently...............boy it was a job to get them off, then back on again!
Mine also said hand wash, but after scrapping off the mould and it looking so bad, I chucked it in the washing machine on a 30% and washed it twice.
I didn't really think it would be worth saving, so had it gone wrong nothing was lost, it was that bad.
It came out looking lovely, good as new and smelt very nice to.

I had the same problem and used Dettox mould and mildew remover spray to get rid of it.
The pram came up like new with no bleaching to the fabric.0 -
Any chance of saving it? I've just given it a wash so I can see how bad it is. It's not to bad just has speckles on it where it has got wet. Any suggestions as to how to save it?
The cover is pink so bleach is out the question.
Cheers folks!

It depends what it's made of, but if it's not a soft fabric you could try scrubbing with a nail brush and maybe some salt for abrasion.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member # 593 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts!0
