this copy is not genuine............build 7601

I've got the dreaded black screen according to google,

this started yesterday, i've run anti-spyware, and other stuff.
But still got it, i've googled it, but am a bit of a loss as what to do.

if your copy is genuine, best bet is to phone microsoft and go through phone validation, this will sort the problem for you (I would bet)

my copy is a genuine one, it came installed with the lap top, i've rang microsoft, they want the product key number from underneath the lap top, the problem is the number has rubbed off the sticker, i've looked for paper work and can't find any for the lap top.

It was bought in 2009

microsoft need me to send a photo of the blue/greenish sticker underneath, and they then will decided if they will send me a activation code or something....................

I'm saying that even if you bought a laptop legitimately, it has come to light that some shops (comet, Currys) have provided copies of Windows that weren't genuine.
