Would this type of insurance be classed in the categories you can claim against. My husband is self-employed and therefore cannot claim and I have been registered disabled and unable to work for 5 years now. This insurance is still being paid. I have claimed against it some years ago, when I first fell ill. anyone any ideas? Thanks:)

You should be able to claim for PPI if you believe you were miss-sold the policy or like me the policy was an automatic addition to the account. I have just successfully had a refund for 19 years payments plus 8% interest from Alliance & Leicester (Santander) in just under 5 weeks for their OD PPI on my current account. I only had to ring them, they did the rest.

I have a claim in for mine against RBS, the 8 wk date is in the next few days so waiting for the response. However if it ever paid out they can offset these payments against any settlement (as obviously if there had been no PPI there would have been no pay out.
