Yesterday I blended 2 tbsp of tahini with some olive oil, a little water, lemon juice, wholegrain mustard, black pepper and a squeeze of syrup and it is a lovely creamy type salad dressing. :j

Waiting till I get some shopping in to try it - don't usually buy Nutella type stuff, but now and then for a treat...

    • 1 can (14 oz) chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained
    • 1/2 cup chocolate nut butter (I used Justin's Chocolate Almond Butterir?t=httpwwwstldio-20&l=btl&camp=213689&creative=392969&o=1&a=B002JGBC96. You could also use chocolate hazelnut spread like Nutellair?t=httpwwwstldio-20&l=btl&camp=213689&creative=392969&o=1&a=B001EO5Y5M or a chocolate peanut butterir?t=httpwwwstldio-20&l=btl&camp=213689&creative=392969&o=1&a=B002JG5TKE. The higher quality your chocolate nut butter, the better the end result will be. If you use Nutella or another product with lots of added sugar, your end result will be sweeter than mine and, depending on your personal taste preferences, you may need to cut back on the honey.)
    • 1/4 cup honey
    • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
    1. Put all of the ingredients in a food processor and pulse until it's as smooth as you can get it.
    2. Store in the refrigerator until ready to eat.

Looking at that to make it vegan you would have to substitute the honey for agave or something simular as honey isn't vegan. Vegan chocolate peanut butter is really good - I have a jar of it that is nearly all gone :o. It isn't cheap but I think it would be nice to try the above with that and the rest of the agave I have.
I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy :D

Sorry I ignored the honey - I really wasn't planning on using it, when we'd bought Nutella in the past we all thought it was far too sweet so thought without the honey would probably be fine.

    Nutella isn't vegan either.

Funny, I thought I found one a few weeks ago - not the actual 'nutella' brand - will have to go back and look - if not I can always make my own version anyways.

    I think this:

May be vegan, though I'm not entirely sure. It's available in the Free From section of Sainsbobs.

I've seen a Plamil one aswell.

And, if you want to be OS about it...

That Asda one looks good. I'm going to have to wait until I have a trip to the UK before I can get any though. Could be quite a long wait! Meanwhile I've printed off the recipe for homemade nutella so I'm going to give that a go this weekend.

    Ingredients:
Sugar, Vegetable Fats and Oils (Non-Hydrogenated Palm Fat, Rapeseed Oil), Chopped Hazelnuts (11%), Cocoa Powder (9%), Emulsifier: Sunflower Lecithin, Natural Vanilla Flavouring.

    Looks pretty vegan to me.
There may be traces of milk from cross containation during the production process, however.

It looks like my afternoon will be spent tinkering with the recipe posted by MandM90 to make your own, after OH 'expressed an interest'!:rotfl:
As several people have mentioned, the best way is too learn to cook! When I went veggie, then vegan that's what my mom, quite rightly told me to do, so I did.
As well as giving me a wonderful life skill, it made me self-sufficient and able to look after myself.

These days, when I visit, they always say 'Ooooh can you bring some of that lovely (insert name of dish) you do, please? it's great!':T
