Did Betterware uk appoint receiver today ?

I am concerned about my income as I work for Betterware but have been sent a message stating that Betterware uk appointed a receiver/manager today. This will seriously effect my income !!. The details are on Bizzy.co.uk

reference is - 01715427

but calling the company - BW realisations 2012 - as well

NOTICE OF APPOINTMENT OF RECEIVER OR MANAGER:LIQ. CASE NO.1:IP NO.00009232,PR100524,00009631

can anyone shed any light - should I try Kleeneze or Avon ???

Betterware UK Limited/BW Realisations 2012 is in administration:

But I would guess it is purely administative as the name was only changed to BW Realisations 2012 on 27th Feb.

And "Betterware" is a registered trademark of Betterware Limited (Company number:7962214) per the website, a company that was incorporated on 23/2/2012 that is NOT in administration.

We received a refund off Betterware as a cheque for faulty goods. The cheque came back "payment prohibited by legal order."
  • I understand the company has parted ways with Betterware Poland and that meant registering a new company name - now trading simply as Betterware Limited. No change other than that. Probably some admin to sort out because of the change of names, no more than that.

If a Betterware, a company that has traded for over 80 years in the UK, went into administration I am certian that the local (I'm in Birmingham) & the National Press would have picked up on it & publicised the event.

Look at what happened to Woolworths!

Although I do Kleeneze I would not like to see the loss of Betterware as it is always good for all companies to have some competition so that they don't stagnate!

    Oh dear.

Did you contact them to ask for another cheque?
  • This seems a bit suspicious to be honest - nothing in the news just these posts here from several new people. Is this a wind up? a deliberate attempt to sow doubt about the company?

    Jeanette,

Check out the terms and conditions on https://www.betterware.co.uk, it is all owned by the company mentioned above that is not in administration, it looks like the Betterware group company.

I'd suggest the reasoning for it is as Bodene48 probably suggests, see links below re: Betterware's about us and google cached page.

Specific reference to Betterware operating in Poland has been removed from the direct 'About-Us' page as opposed to what is shown on the cached page (other than the link at the bottom of the page)

No there is nothing in the news - that's why i am asking.
The website in the first page says Betterware called in the receivers on the 6th March -
If that is not true then i'm sure Betterware will take the website to court - so i can not see that it is not true.

Sorry, there seems to be some confusion. this is not about Betterware poland - this is about Betterware UK

NOTICE OF APPOINTMENT OF RECEIVER OR MANAGER:LIQ. CASE NO.1:IP NO.00009232,PR100524,00009631

As i am new to posting i can not post a link but if you go on bizzy.co.uk and type in reference as above.
