Did Betterware uk appoint receiver today ?

I'm not getting any of that from bizzy website . Nothing in the news , nothing in the loacl Birmingham news at all.

Sounds like a lot of rubbish - I ordered from my normal Distributor yesterday and got my goods as usual along with another catalogue. If the company had gone into administration there would be redundancies and they certainly wouldn't be delivering goods as normal. Any kind of changes in names and structure generates gossip and speculation - I've been through it myself. I would think that if you worked for them you wouldn't be adding to the speculation! Lots of companies make changes and it always brings the gossips out. Good luck Betterware - another 80 years I say!

Strutty, you are right the company above is in administration, HOWEVER this isn't the company that is now running the day to day operations of Betterware. There are Tax/Legal implications that could have led to the company being put into administration other than Betterware being in trouble (and then having transfered all UK rights to Betterware to another UK Group Company)

Nobody else on the forum can give you additional information re: BW Realisations 2012 Ltd. , if you have further queries then contact the administrators who, I imagine, will be happy to confirm that the company is no longer connected to the day to day operations of Betterware.

The cheque came from Betterware UK Limited. We contacted them and they have apologised and said they'll send out a new cheque, and cover the £4 the bank charged us :-)

"Betterware" is a registered trademark of Betterware Limited (Company number:7962214) per the website, a company that was incorporated on 23/2/2012 that is NOT in administration.

Betterware Limited changed its name on 05/06/1992 to Betterware UK limited, then on 27/02/2012 to BW REALISATIONS 2012 LIMITED. This company is in the hands of the receivers and is the original Betterware company formed in 1983.

Stanley House Products Limited was created on 23/02/2012 and changed its name to Betterware Limited on the 27/02/2012.

Confused? I am. However, after typing that out I realise that we need to have the cheque issued by Betterware Limited, not Betterware UK limited.

According to the IPO website, Betterware is still a trademark of Betterware UK Limited, the company that is in administration. It looks like they are going through a transition and have changed the Betterware website to refer to the new company Betterware Limited, but haven't reassigned the trademark yet from Betterware UK Limited to Betterware Limited.

Lot of Kleeneze reps putting rumours around about Betterware trying to pinch their people.

Betterware wrote this yesterday on their Facebook Page.

"We hear that members of our competitor's team (we won't even name them!) are sending texts via Facebook to some of your Distributors trying to take advantage of our recent restructure as a reason to worry them. Obviously that's a load of bunkum and Betterware goes on just as it did before - no change - no worries - not going anywhere!"
