scottish power notice period?

we are moving house on the 23rd of this month and are changing providers when we go.
how much notice does scottish power need of us leaving them?

    They don't really. All they need to do is close your account which is a quick and simple action.

    I would suggest not letting them estimate or you could overpay. What you could do is ring up very close, give them a forwarding address for your final bill and also give them the reading at the same time.

    Also just I case anything goes wrong, keep that reading until you are sure you have paid the final bill and moved on just incase of course.
