We’re FTB and we have signed our contract and so has the Vendor (before he emigrated to Australia) but before we exchanged there was 1 query outstanding. This query has now been resolved and “final checks” further to the “final checks” before the query got raised are getting carried out as we speak. The EA phoned me to say this was all happening and I should get a call this afternoon with a completion date, is this reasonable to assume this?
Also she said that she cant see a problem why we could be in the house by next Friday. I don’t want to get my hopes up too soon, that’s the only thing!

First time buyer here too. I thought the completion date was agreed before signing the contracts?
We too had a call from the estate agent with an update 1 week ago saying they thought it'd be 2 more weeks before we complete. I personally can't see us completing before 3 weeks from now. There are too many factors our end to wait on, let alone the rest of the chain.0 -
im not sure at all about the completion date before contracts, I seem to get conflicting stories from all the parties involved!! lol
I hope everything goes ok for you:xmastree: :snow_laug Christmas Nutter :snow_laug:xmastree:0
