been offered current a/c is my credit ok now?

hi all
I went to natwest yesterday with the hope of getting one of there basic bank a/c. I already have one with the bank of scotland but you carnt use the card in shops ect. anyway took id a member of staff took all my details and low and behold i was offered a current a/c with full benifits! I had a problem with a bank a/c in 2003, although this is all paid off now, and have missed the odd gas bill ect, but have not appilied for credit at all since 2002, so my question is am i ok to get credit now? Hope so as really want a mortage.

    if so, they are just dispatching visa electron cards for all these cards. they never used to have a symbol. or if you want it sooner, call uo and ask for one

    but regardless of that - least you were offered a full current account now
