Hi Can anyone help me?
I have my phone line with BT, internet with Tesco.net and TV with sky.
Sky have offered me unlimited calls and broadband for 24.75 per month. They have also offered me 1 years free line rental if i sign up with them today.
BT have offered me unlimited calls and broadband for 30.60
sky is cheaper but someone has told me i will still have to pay BT line rental even though i have transfered to sky?? Is this true?
I asked sky and he said it was a load of rubbish, i will no longer have to pay BT anything only sky cause they will now own my line?
Is this true????
Sky are calling me back at 8pm so need help quick guys.
Thanks

You can transfer your line rental to Sky. It's £2 or so cheaper than BT.
Unlike BT's £4.70/month Unlimited Anytime Plan, the £5/month Sky Talk Unlimited plan does not include 0845 calls (neither include 07, 0843, 0844, 0871, 0872, 0873, 09 and 118 calls).
A word of caution. If, as appears likely, Sky will put you onto their (LLU) system, moving elsewhere later on may be problematical.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
I think 8PM yesterday has passed lol
Hey OP - What happened then?
You shouldnt agree to ultimatums like that BTW. Always say look, make a note of the offer and I will call YOU back.0 -
I'd be tempted to tell Tesco that's the deal that you're getting from Sky and they should normally match it. The reason I say so is because they have a fully UK based call centre, so if any thing goes wrong, you're dealing with a person in the UK not abroad - and you don't have to change any equipment
Though, AFAIK, Tesco were offering a deal for £16.25 with bb up to 20Mb/s and line rental with free evening & weekend calls0
