Been on forum for years but couldn't remember old log in so newbie again.
Looking for help with Halifax
Original loan: £8500
Charge for credit £1996.64
Insurance £1680.90
Charge for credit for insurance £394.62
Total loan £12572.16
Apr 10.3%
Offer from Halifax: £1712.87 as follows:
Refund of premiums £919.72
Refund of interest 10.3%. £261.76
Interest at 8% to 21 feb 2012 £531.39
Less previously accepted claim £-785.76
Total £927.11
Total removed from loan looks to be £760.84.
In addition will remove remaining pip from account which has been default since feb 2006 as a result of them not paying out on ppi when off work due to existing medical condition. 3 months ex gratia paid out of 15 months off work hence reason for reclaim.
Does this look right?
Any help appreciated.
