Survey Sites - Any Good Ones?

A couple of months ago I signed up to a survey site (globaltestmarket - not sure if it’s OK to post names?). The company seems very good on its website and I think I found out about it through this forum at some point!. The problem I'm having is after around 30-40 surveys, not one has gone through to the end, at some point they always say I'm no longer suitable for whatever reason. Sometimes this is OK because I've only just started but occasionally I've spent 10-15minutes on it and then they say I'm not suitable or they have fulfilled their quota for my particular demographic.
Has anyone had better luck with other sites? I'm looking to fill in a bit of extra time in the evenings and hopefully earn enough cash back to buy gift cards etc for presents - saving money!

I was just about to ask about these, certain companies are advertising on totaljobs.com and claim you can earn between 25 and 50 pounds a week, my partner was thinking about doing it in her spare timeGraham0

The deal with online surveys is, that they always look for special demographics (age, income, occupation, etc). If you don't meet what they are looking you get screened out. However, this should happen after a few minutes and not after 10-15. The later is usually a sign that something else was wrong. Sometimes surveys repeat questions to check if you pay attention or do similar measures to make sure, that people actually read the questions. If it was nothing like this, you should definitively contact the survey site. GlobalTestMarket is a very reputable site and I had several payouts over the last years.
Some general thoughts about online surveys:
Reputable sites usually pay between $1-$5 for a 15-45 min survey. If sites claim to pay consistently more they are usually scam or looking for very special people like medical professionals or IT experts to answer their surveys.
As said before, you have to meet the demographics of the survey to qualify. I also realized that certain online survey sites are often have surveys with similar demographic standards. If you are interested in answering online surveys, it is therefore worthwhile to test some sites to see which ones are working best for you. If you don't qualify at least 10-15% of the invited surveys you should switch the site.
Pay attention how much each survey is paying. Sometimes you get surveys with a very low incentive. Just skip such surveys.
Don't expect to make more than $3-$5 an hour with online surveys. You can increase you hourly rate a little with using PTC sites while answering surveys but don't expect to make more than a pocket-money.
The advantage of online survey sites however is that you are very flexible when you want to answer the surveys. I use online survey sites for more than 6 years now and overall it is a nice supplement to my regular income.

I am with Yougov. It is legit as far as I can see and works well enough. Money-wise, you collect points for doing surveys, and then exchange them for cash when you reach a certain level. In a couple of years I have had one £50, and am up to about £37 toward the second payment. The frequency of being offered surveys seems to vary - I supose their requirements change re. what demographics they need and so on.
So, not a big earner but doen't take much time up so might as well add it to your portfolio of earners.0 -
Don't do any prize draw surveys either. There is NO prize draw.0

I won £75 Amazon voucher in the Toluna draw before christmas which restored my faith that the prize draws could be genuine :j0

Hi
I have been participating in online surveys for a long period of time now and have found them extremely beneficial, but I think it depends which sites you join! The ones I would recommend, which I have made the most money from are:
https://www.panelopinion.co.uk - this is my favourite survey website, it is simple but effective...You can withdraw your money when you get to £10 and it doesn't take that long to build up a good amount.
https://www.valuedopinion.co.uk - this website is good because they frequently have new surveys, which means you can qualify for them more often.
https://www.toluna.com - same as valuedopinion
https://www.surveyfriends.co.uk - this website rewards you with vouchers and prizes, which seem VERY easy to win lol. During 2012 I have already won a £50 amazon voucher and a £10 ticketmaster voucher and my friend won a 40" HD TV just before xmas. I am recommending this website based on our recent and previous success
Good Luck:eek: 2014: £20 voucher from SurveyFriends, £10 cash payout from Panel Opinion too and working towards more from Valued Opinions currently.
2013: £35 and £50 vouchers from SurveyFriends! More than £15 made from other paid surveys sites (Yougov, Panel Opinion, Valued Opinions, Pinecone, etc.) Happy so far!0 -
